U.S. ETF Inflows Hit Record $1.23 Trillion Through July

U.S.-listed ETFs pulled in a record $193.42 billion in July, pushing year-to-date net inflows to $1.23 trillion. That total is the strongest seven-month haul on record, according to ETFGI’s July 2026 U.S. ETF industry report.

Global ETF assets reached a record $23.11 trillion at the end of July, according to ETFGI’s companion global industry report. The U.S. accounted for about 68% of that total. It also produced roughly 72% of the $1.71 trillion gathered worldwide so far this year.

The gap shows how much of the world’s ETF growth is happening inside the U.S. Equity ETFs alone gathered $567.25 billion in the U.S. through July. The total is more than double the $249.69 billion collected over the same stretch in 2025, according to ETFGI.

U.S. ETF assets stood at $15.74 trillion at the end of July. Assets rose 17.3% for the year, climbing from $13.43 trillion at the end of 2025, according to ETFGI. The July total slipped from a record $15.78 trillion set in June.

Overall, ownership of that money remains concentrated. Altogether, the three largest providers control 70.6% of U.S. ETF assets, according to the report. iShares led with $4.53 trillion and a 28.8% share. Vanguard followed closely with $4.51 trillion and a 28.7% share. State Street SPDR ETFs, meanwhile, ranked third with $2.08 trillion, or 13.2% of the market.
