Amit Dogra is president, chief operating officer and a board member of tru Independence, a $9 billion national independent advisory growth platform. Amit is a 25-year veteran of the financial services investment industry.

A recognized executive and thought leader, Amit uses his experience to aid advisors in their business lifecycle: from wirehouse to independence, from advisor to business owner, and from founder to succession. Amit was recently honored by Wealth Solutions Reports Pathfinder Awards and was recognized as AAPI Chief Operating Officer of the Year.

Known for his energy and enthusiasm, he has frequently been sought out as a commentor on the state of the financial services industry, its trends and economic impact, including appearances on Yahoo! Finance and Fox Business. Amit has also been a contributor to Investment News, Family Wealth Report, RIABiz, ThinkAdvisor and CityWire, as well as being on the cover of Real Assets Advisor magazine. Indeed, Amit is no stranger to the conference/summit world either, having served as a moderator at AdvisorHub’s 5th Annual Summit in 2021.

Prior to joining tru Independence, Amit helped to grow Sanctuary Wealth from $2 billion to $15 billion in AUM from his position as chief experience officer. He was responsible for the overall experience delivered by Sanctuary through its products, services and culture for its advisors. As a hands-on, growth minded leader, Amit has been charged with overseeing the evolution of the tru business model and accelerating the growth and recognition of the platform with financial advisory teams nationwide.
