Gasoline Prices Jump to 3-Month High

Gas prices jumped to their highest level in three months this week. As of January 21st, the price of regular and premium gas were up 7 and 6 cents from the previous week, respectively. According to GasBuddy.com, Hawaii has the highest average price for regular at $4.51 and Mississippi has the cheapest at $2.65.

Currently, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.11 with premium gasoline averaging $4.00 per gallon. One year ago, regular gas was priced at $3.06 per gallon, while premium gas was at $3.94 per gallon.
