Gasoline Prices Inch Up to 6-Week High

Gas prices continued to creep up this week, inching up to their highest level in six weeks. As of July 15th, the price of regular and premium gas increased 1 and 0 cents from the previous week, respectively. According to GasBuddy.com, California has the highest average price for regular at $4.67 and Mississippi has the cheapest at $2.96.

Currently, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.50 with premium gasoline averaging $4.37 per gallon. One year ago, regular gas was priced at $3.56 per gallon, while premium gas was at $4.41 per gallon.
