Gasoline Prices Continue to Creep Back Up

Gas prices continued to creep back up this week. As of July 8th, the price of regular and premium gas increased 1 and 2 cents from the previous week, respectively. According to, California has the highest average price for regular at $4.75 and Mississippi has the cheapest at $2.95.

Currently, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.49 with premium gasoline averaging $4.37 per gallon. One year ago, regular gas was priced at $3.55 per gallon, while premium gas was at $4.41 per gallon.
