Gasoline Prices Jump to Six-Month High

Gas prices jumped to their highest level in six months this past week. As of April 8th, the price of regular and premium gas rose 7 and 9 cents from the previous week, respectively. According to, California has the highest average price for regular at $5.34 and Colorado has the cheapest at $3.02.

Currently, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline stands at $3.59 with premium gasoline averaging $4.49 per gallon. One year ago, regular gas was priced at $3.60 per gallon, while premium gas was at $4.39 per gallon.
